Lesson 3: LOVE
Using the curriculum, "CONFIRM," by Abingdon Press, I made adaptations to our ministry settings during the time of COVID-19 pandemic and the social unrest due to racial injustice committed to some of our Black American brothers and sisters.
The main reference is in John 13:34, “I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another," from the New Revised Standard Version of the Bible.
Here are the main lesson sentences:
Confirmands learn Christians are called to love one another.
Confirmands are led to make a commitment to love as a way of faith.
Confirmands learn from a video.
What stood out to you from the video?
Racism is a huge WALL BLOCK for people to love one another.
Confirmands are young prophets to break down the WALL.
Confirmands are called to love like Jesus.
